Banning a book that hasn’t been published yet?

The Sarah Palin book-banning story. It’s everywhere.
The Los Angeles Times’ website
Time Magazine’s website
Atlanta Journal & Constitution
and a zillion other publications. I’d like to see some more sources on it, especially considering the fairly obviously fake list that’s spreading around the internet. Also, I haven’t seen anyplace that has offered any evidence that any books were actually banned. Also I’d be curious to see how many school libraries have no copy of The Bible, Thomas Aquinas’ Summa Theologica, or C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity because of political pressure.
