The water is back, or seems to be. I figure our little beach house is matchsticks by now, as are so many others. Crystal Beach (on the NE side of Galveston) is almost completely wiped out. I’m looking out the window at work and don’t see nearly as many lights as I usually do.

Yeah, it was pretty bad for some of the bloggers at the RNC. A colleague of mine at PBS wrote about the poor conditions she witnessed while covering the convention.
